On December 24, 2022, in Da Nang city, the Education Quality Assurance Council of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – University of Da Nang (KĐCLGD - ĐHĐN) held its 15th session to review the results of the quality assessment of educational programs, including two Master's programs from Quy Nhon University.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Giao, Acting Director of the Accreditation Center and Chair of the Council chaired the session. The session was attended by members of the Education Quality Assurance Council, representatives of the external evaluation team, and leaders from Quy Nhon University, including the Examination and Quality Assurance Office, Postgraduate Training Office, Administration and General Affairs Office, and faculty leaders whose programs were subject to external evaluation.

In the opening remarks at the 15th session, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Giao, Acting Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – University of Da Nang and Chair of the Council, briefed the Council on the key requirements outlined in Circular No. 38/2013/TT-BGDĐT, issued on November 29, 2013, by the Minister of Education and Training. This circular establishes regulations on the process and cycle of quality accreditation for academic programs at universities, colleges, and vocational institutions.

During the session, the Council conducted the assessment of the external evaluation results for the Master’s programs in Accounting and Solid-State Physics at Quy Nhon University. Representatives from Quy Nhon University’s self-assessment team presented their evaluation reports for each program, highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and the plan for enhancements according to specific criteria under Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT, issued on March 14, 2016, which sets the standards for evaluating the quality of academic programs at higher education levels.

Subsequently, the external evaluation team presented their findings, highlighting key strengths, existing limitations, and recommendations for each specific standard. The Council raised questions to both the University and the external evaluation team to clarify details regarding the self-assessment results as well as the external evaluation findings.

Based on the results of both the self-assessment and external evaluation of the Master's programs in Accounting and Solid-State Physics at Quy Nhon University, members of the Council posed questions, which were addressed by the university's leadership and the respective faculty representatives whose programs were under evaluation.

With a spirit of rigorous, objective, and impartial deliberation, the Council engaged in discussions regarding the self-assessment results, the external evaluation findings, and the draft resolution. The session concluded with a secret ballot, in which the Council approved the resolution concerning the verification of the evaluation results for the Master's programs in Accounting and Solid-State Physics at Quy Nhon University.
